An injector's specific written instructions control aftercare. Before leaving a Rewind Bar Botox visit, understand what short-term changes are expected, when to assess the effect and whom to contact about an unexpected symptom.
Clarify the first day
Ask about exercise, pressure on treated areas, makeup and your usual skin-care routine. The AAD provides general aftercare guidance, but the clinician should adapt it to the injection sites and any other same-day treatment.
Minor injection-site redness, tenderness or bruising can occur. Confirm what the injector considers ordinary and what symptoms need same-day contact. Do not try to correct an early apparent asymmetry by manipulating the treated area yourself.
Allow a fair assessment window
Botulinum toxin does not act like a filler that immediately occupies space. Ask when the clinic expects the treatment effect to develop and when it will evaluate symmetry and your original goal.
If a follow-up visit is planned, photograph the same expressions and lighting to describe a concern accurately. A useful review asks whether the targeted movement changed without assuming that every line will disappear.
Know which symptoms are different
Ask the injector for warning signs such as significant eyelid droop, unusual weakness or vision changes. FDA consumer guidance also notes rare difficulty swallowing or breathing after botulinum toxin; those symptoms warrant urgent medical evaluation.
Keep the product name, treatment date and office contact details. If you later see a different clinician, accurate treatment information is more useful than a vague statement that you had injections.
